Plastic tumbling media from MFI is great for all finishing applications. Plastic deburring media is lighter than its ceramic and porcelain counterparts and comes in a wide variety of shapes. Its lighter weight makes it great for finishing softer metals like aluminum or acrylics. Plastic media is often used in the second stage of the finishing process for general metal removal and for pre-polishing parts. It can also be used for fast and heavy cutting.

Plastic deburring media from MFI comes in many different varieties.  Some that we carry are:

  • #2000

    • The industry standard in plastic tumbling media, #2000 is a special blend of silica abrasives. Providing a great cut and wear resistance, this media produces a galvanized style finish suitable for plating.
    • Available Shapes include: Taper Top Cone, Round Top Cone, Triangle, Star, Pyramids, Tricel, Tetrahedron, Triangle, Wedge

  • #4000

    • #4000 M2 and M4 formulations are used for light cutting and pre-plate finishing and are made up of silica abrasives. Its fine mesh size results in low RA Finishes and low attrition rate.
    • Available Shapes include: Taper Top Cone, Round Top Cone, Triangle, Star, Pyramids, Tricel, Tetrahedron, Triangle, and Wedge.

  • RG

    • The RG series of plastic tumbling media is a different type of plastic. This composition provides a great pre-polish finish.
    • RG is available in cones or tetra-form, ¾ ½ or 3/8
